Web Reference: Jul 15, 2020 · *On your steam library right click TF2 and go to properties, then go to verify game files/cache (this will download the default folders that the game has) *Go to "set launch options" and put -autoconfig (this command will reset the game to default) Team Fortress 2 has several options that are useful to change but both aren't in the in-game options menus and aren't optimal to change solely from the console. In order to change these settings we have to mess with configuration files so that they persist between launches. I'm not an expert at fiddling with the settings, but this is a good start for new players. Feel free to pick and choose whatever suits you.
