Web Reference: The ROLLBACK statement backs out, or cancels, the database changes that are made by the current transaction and restores changed data to the state before the transaction began. Without a COMMIT, changes remain in a temporary state and can be undone by issuing a ROLLBACK statement, which reverts the database to its state before the transaction began. To do a rollback operation in these environments, SQL programs must use the call prescribed by their transaction manager. The effect of these rollback operations on Db2 data is the same as that of the SQL ROLLBACK statement.
