Web Reference: Mar 17, 2021 · In C++ we can pass class's objects as arguments and also return them from a function the same way we pass and return other variables. No special keyword or header file is required to do so. To pass an object as an argument we write the object name as the argument while calling the function the same way we do it for other variables. When you pass an object by value, a copy of the object is created and passed to the function. The original object remains unchanged regardless of what happens inside the function. Passing by pointer is virtually never advised. Optional parameters are best expressed as a std::optional (boost::optional for older std libs), and aliasing is done fine by reference. C++11's move semantics make passing and returning by value much more attractive even for complex objects.
