Web Reference: In OCaml, every piece of code is wrapped into a module. Optionally, a module itself can be a submodule of another module, pretty much like directories in a file system. “Structure” here simply means the definitions contained in the module. Those definitions are used to determine whether (M : T) is acceptable as a type annotation, where M is a module and T is a module type. Module names must begin with an uppercase letter. The part of the module definition that is written. is called a structure. A structure is simply a sequence of definitions. The structure itself is anonymous—it has no name—until it is bound to a name by a module definition.
