It compares the ASCII value of the given character to the range of ASCII value of the characters that represent numeric digit [48, 57]. In C programming, library function isdigit ( ) checks whether a character is numeric character (0-9) or not. If a character passed to isdigit ( ) is a digit, it returns non-zero integer and if not it returns 0.
