It looks similar to a list comprehension, but uses parentheses () instead of brackets []. A generator comprehension is a single-line specification for defining a generator in Python. It is absolutely essential to learn this syntax in order to write simple and readable code. Such an object is called an iterator. Normal functions return a single value using return, just like in Java. In Python, however, there is an alternative, called yield. Using yield anywhere in a function makes it a generator.
