If you change initializers of global variables and static fields, a hot restart or restart the state where the initializers are hold is necessary to see the changes. Dec 10, 2019 · This usually happens when you have change a lot of code, added states, changed a widget from stateless to state full, etc. Preforming a hot restart (ctrl +F5) will fix this issue. One of the features of Flutter I like, is the ability to change the code and instantly see the effect running in debug mode. However recently I have noticed that hot reloading "hangs' and it is quicker to close the app and restart.
