Routers regularly share these tables with neighbors, so they can update routes and always find the shortest, most efficient paths for data. Could distance vector routing be the culprit? Result: routers eventually all synchronize to send all updates at same time! Distance-vector routing protocols use the Bellman–Ford algorithm. In these protocols, each router does not possess information about the full network topology.
