It is used interactively as a development environment and as the basis for much of the OpenStack project’s functional testing. DevStack is a set of scripts and utilities to quickly deploy an OpenStack cloud. In order to run DevStack in a local VM, you need to start by installing a guest with Ubuntu 12.04 server. Download an image file from Ubuntu’s web site and create a new guest from it.
