Web Reference: 1 day ago · Introduction ¶ Turtle graphics is an implementation of the popular geometric drawing tools introduced in Logo, developed by Wally Feurzeig, Seymour Papert and Cynthia Solomon in 1967. This is an optional module. If it is missing from your copy of CPython, look for documentation from your distributor (that is, whoever provided Python to you). The turtle module provides a simple graphics library for drawing shapes and patterns. Use it for teaching programming concepts, creating visual art, or building simple graphical applications. Programs written in the Python language are called Python programs. Not all Python programs use turtle graphics. But in this guide, we will call programs that use Python's turtle module, "Turtle programs." Even if you don't know how to program in Python, you can still copy the code in this tutorial into your code editor and run them.
