Web Reference: Each tab of a tab bar controller interface is associated with a custom view controller. When the user selects a specific tab, the tab bar controller displays the root view of the corresponding view controller, replacing any previous views. A UITabBarController lets us switch back and forth in any order between the view controllers beneath it. Each of these other view controllers has a view of its own. Our example has five view controllers under the tab bar controller, one for each borough.
