As we approach 2025, the question of whether or not to learn PHP has become a key issue for many new web developers. You don't see a lot of content for PHP like you do for React and such, but as others have pointed out, there are still plenty of companies with legacy PHP code. I've heard (never used) that PHP is easy to write, but kind of hard to maintain, but I don't particularly know why. However, if you aim to become a full-stack developer, JavaScript or Python may be better options.
