On March 4, 2023, we lost one such individual in the extraordinary and irreplaceable person of Michael Rhodes. Long recognized as one of the best bass players on the planet, Rhodes forged his own path with the instrument, as he did with his life. Rhodes became bassist for blues giant Joe Bonamassa in 2013, who he performed and recorded with on live and studio albums over eight years, including Different Shades of Blue (2014) and Royal Tea (2020).
