The following SQL returns all products with a price NOT between 10 and 20: The problem is one of perceptions/expectations about BETWEEN which does include BOTH the lower value and the upper values in the range, but does not magically make a date the "beginning of" or "the end of". It is always used in the WHERE clause. The SQL BETWEEN operator filters rows where a column's value falls within a continuous range — it is inclusive of both boundary values and works with numbers, dates, and text. Use NOT BETWEEN to exclude a range.
