Elemental Affinity reduces the AP cost of Spells by 1 when the character is standing on the surfaces that match the spell element. Every surface has a small window of space next to the surface where you count as standing on the surface for purposes of Elemental Affinity, but you aren't actually affected by the surface itself. Elemental Affinity Starting at 6th level, when you cast a spell that deals damage of the type associated with your draconic ancestry, add your Charisma modifier to one damage roll of that spell.
